Ginger and tumeric shots

 

Ingredients

  • 100g fresh tumeric
  • 150g fresh ginger
  • 3 lemons
  • 1 tbsp coconut honey
  • Water (this will depend on your taste preference, but I added approx 1/2 a cup)

Method

  1. Wearing gloves, peel the tumeric and ginger and place in a blender. Juice the 3 lemons and add the lemon juice to the blender too. Blend until everything is smooth  (add a little water to help with this too)
  2. OPTIONAL STEP (move to step 3 if you want a quicker method): Pour the blended mixture along with about 2 tbsp of water into a saucepan and leave on a VERY LOW HEAT for about an hour
  3. Using muslin cloth or a very fine sieve, squeeze out all the liquid into a bowl. Add the honey and remaining water to taste, then refrigerate and enjoy every morning!
