Air Fried Chilli Ginger Tofu

  • 1 packet of tofu, pressed and cut into cubes (approx 1inchx1inch in size)
  • 4 heaped tbsp cornflour
  • A pinch of salt to taste
  • 4 cloves of garlic, cubed
  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced
  • 1.5 tbsp siracha sauce
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup (or agave)
  • 1 tsp oil
  • Spring onions and sesame seeds to garnish

  1. Mix the cornflour with a little salt and dip in the tofu cubes, ensuring they are thoroughly coated
  2. Place the tofu cubes flat in your air fryer, making sure they are not overlapping or touching each other. Set the heat to 180c and the time to 15 minutes and place a little bit of oil at the bottom. Click start.  (you may need to do this in 2 batches if there isn’t enough room)
  3. While the tofu is heating, mix together the remaining ingredients to form a sauce
  4. When the tofu is crispy, remove from the air fryer and place in a frying pan over a medium-high heat. Pour over the sauce and stir to make sure each cube is coated
  5. Serve with rice and enjoy!
